Building Credit: Your Roadmap to Business Success

Has your personal credit score stood in the way of starting or expanding your business? Have you found that no matter how enterprising you are, you find yourself stretched beyond your personal resources?

Join the San Antonio Women’s Business Center for this *FREE 13-week IN-PERSON workshop series designed to help get you from un-bankable to becoming loan-ready! It’s time you make money work for you. These sessions are made possible by a community grant focused on the intersection between personal financial health and small business success.

By the end of this program, you will learn financial fundamentals to help you see an increase in savings, credit score, and a decrease in personal debt, with the ultimate goal of accessing a financial asset that is important to your business success.

Join us next Tuesday for Workshop #3: September 19 – How to prepare a winning business plan with Alicia Richards. This is the last event held at the WBC offices located inside the Central Library downtown. Please mark your calendars for the following workshops dates. All classes will be held on the following biweekly Tuesdays from 11:00am to 1:30pm at the Ozuna Library at Palo Alto College (1400 W. Villaret Blvd.).

Workshop #4: October 3 – How to manage your Business income and expenses, Ozuna Building

Workshop #5: October 17 – How to create a winning capability statement

Workshop #6: October 31 – How to develop a spending and savings plan for your business

Workshop #7: November 14 – Credit Repair and understanding how to dispute.

Workshop #8: November 28 – How to be Loan- and Grant-ready

Workshop #9: December 12 – Understand how debt can impact your credit and loans

Workshop #10: January 9 – Money is not the only way to build strong assets – tools that you can use for you business

Workshop #11: January 23 – How to financially prepare or recover from a disaster

Workshop #12: February 6 – Recap (pull final credit scores)

Workshop #13: February 20 – Final Wrap up – Ceremony

A separate registration will be held for those needing the information presented in Spanish. Both English/Spanish workshops will be held simultaneously in adjoining rooms at the Central Library, 600 Soledad, San Antonio, Texas 78205 for Sept. 19th, and all classes from October -February will meet in the Ozuna Library at Palo Alto College, 1400 W. Villaret Blvd.
